Converting Games Including Pictures

Last few weeks I've been converting games from CFX to mine 9860 using FA-124. I downloaded some that apart from the program they've pictures, like the games from this collection: Marco's CFX Games Collection. I open the .cat with FA-124 and convert it to 9860 format. When then I open it, it only has the programs inside. Anyone knows how to extract the pictures from the .cat archive? Maybe an emulator of 9850 would help but I haven't one.

and use FA-123 to transfer to the 9860. (fa-123 works pc->9860 but not other way around)
Otherwise need to know how pictures are stored in g1m and cat format and write
software to convert it.
Florian Bir?e is currently working on this in the Casetta project:
http://casetta.tuxfa...g/wiki.php/Home
but this may be some time before it can handle pictures and run on Windows,
so it would be quicker to get hold of a serial cable.
I've tried this with the tetris game in the url link you gave
and the picture transfers fine, but you lose a bit of the meaning when going from colour
to black and white. This tetris will also need some tweaking to work properly on the 9860.

At the moment I think the only way is to get hold of an old serial cable
and use FA-123 to transfer to the 9860. (fa-123 works pc->9860 but not other way around)
FA-123 only works with serial port? Isn't there a way to make it work with usb? If not, the cfx models bring a serial cable with them? It's to know from who I can borrow one

A good project. We would have to wait decades until Casio releases software to <{GNULINUX}>.
Run on Windows? Who needs that?

There are serial/usb adapters, however I'm not sure they'd work in this situation:
the 9860 may not use the same data for the usb and serial modes. (The 9860 calls serial 3Pin)
If not, the cfx models bring a serial cable with them?
Afraid not, the cfx don't come with cable as standard.

1) Use the Bmp2Cat program to create bmps from the cat file.
(make sure the folder containing the cat file is writable)
Download Bmp2Cat here:
http://www.spiderpix...loadsindex.html
(Press reload on the browser if adverts obscure the web page.)
2) * Use the latest version of Photo casio to convert the bmps into BASIC code.
* Select Graph 85 from the Options...Calculatrice menu ***
* Select Generer the code from the Fichiers menu.
* Enter a number corresponding to where the program expects the picture to be.
(It's from a 9850 - so it will be one of 1~6)
* Now create a new program area in FA-124 and paste the text from Photo casio
* Transfer the program to the 9860 and run it.
* Repeat the above steps for each bmp from the cat file.

Open the fxi file with CasioCom and save it in CAT(Algebra) format,
and then again use Bmp2cat and Photocasio as before.
CasioCom can also be downloaded from various websites including:
http://www.spiderpix...loadsindex.html
However CasioCom sometimes refuses to load and is quite buggy, so it is not reliable, but when it works it will do this conversion ok.

Hello again, Happy new year and congrats to Kucalc on promotion to admin.
Each time there're missing new line commands !
Are you talking about the new line symbols at the end of each line ?
The thing is Photocasio produces Graph 65/80 output for the FX-Interface editor style and copying/pasting with FX-Interface doesn't include the new line symbols.
However you could use Casform to convert it to FA-123/FA-124 and this will put new line symbols in.
