Does anyone know how to do the inverse of the Student's t model for a confidence interval to find the critical value of t when only given a confidence level and the degrees of freedom? I know the TIs will do it, but I cannot figure out how to do this on the Casio CFX-9850GB PLUS.
Here is an example:
Find the critical value of t for a 90% confidence interval with df = 17.
Can anyone help? Thank you.

you could try the solve function
like solve(T(a,x,c),x)

use the appropriate function (t-student), but i warn you, it will be slow
