Just got my hands on an FX-992S and I must say it's a very nice calc. It is very slim, 12+2 digit, 32bit binary mode with block display, 128 constants, and a very nice engineering display mode with proper symbols (u,m,k etc). BUT the keys used to input the engineering units (SHIFT-1 to 9) are NOT written on the keyboard overlay!
That's damn annoying and makes the feature fairly useless you memorize the keys (not hard I guess, but beside the point).

My FX-61F Electronics calculator has the engineering symbols marked, but only goes to up to M, does not display the actual symbol, and actually doesn't have an engineering display mode. The FX-992 goes up to T, and the engineering mode and display is really nice. Would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

Anyone know of any other casio with engineering mode that has the symbols marked on the keypad?

Dave :)

Well, I use to own a fx-115. It was nice and on the keypad it has u, k, m. Maybe you should take a look at it. :D

Ah yes, so it does. The FX-115MS has it, but the FX-115ES does not.
Shame the MS does not have the conversions and constants of the ES model.

Thanks
Dave :)

Yes, that does stink a little that you can't have features of both calculators, but the fx-115MS Plus looks really nice. :D
