I have had an FX-7500G for a long time.
It has died and I need to get a new one.
which model is the closest match. I like the clamshell style. I am an engineer that makes job site visits often. folding it up fits in my pocket easily. every calc I have seen in the store is more traditional shape and size.
I don't program anything, and I love the ANS button to quickly use the previous answer in the next equation.
thanks

If you do not program at all, a scientific would suffice. I recommend the FX-991ES. Why, it has the ANS button and dual battery; cell battery and solar cell. I think the solar cell will come in handy if your batteries die out while you are at site
.
It is "pocket size" although it is not "clamshell" like.
Else you may like to consider the FX-5800P - same features as FX-991ES, but has 120 built in programs and has 28KB of memory. its size is similar to that of 991ES and the "casing" is quite tough for heavy usage.

I was googling around and I saw this
FS9860G Slim
but it looked like I had to shift for the ANS function. The picture wasn't great but that is the way it looked to me.
thanks for getting back to me. I am not sure I understand the natural display.
I liked how my old unit had about 5-6 lines of history. since it is broken now I can't really remember exactly what it had.
thanks
