There is reliable information that Casio will discontinue the CFX-9850G series as early as 1st quarter of 2008. Some of you may already find it is difficult to purchase new CFX-9850GB or GC units this year. This is because casio is rolling back the production of these models, and focus on FX-9860G series.

So guys, hold on to your CFX-9850 calc. they will become antique soon :roflol:

They would probably most likely be discontinued. The fx-9750G is the calculator CASIO Education had been pushing into middle and high schools a lot.

If you checked out CASIO's profile on YouTube: http://youtube.com/p...=CasioEducation, it seems the fx-9860G will become the new calculator CASIO will push into schools, replacing the fx-9750G.
