Me being 0 at programming, i shurely can't make portuguese programs, but since from what i'm understanding about this 'calculator programmings' i'm guessing most are freeware. So my idea is to maybe translate some programms to portuguese (at least the ones i use).

The 1st one i was thinking about is the 'Casio digital Watch extended'.

Ofc if i manage doing this, i would share the translated version to all.

Questions:
Is it hard to edit(translate) this programs?
What PC program must i have to edit those G1r/G1a ?

P.S.- I said before i'm 0 at programming, but that's not completely true :o , since i got some ancient formation in BASIC (meaning i may be able to recognize text part inside the programming lines)

Well you could modify the data sections of some addins using a hex editor, but I doubt the original authors would like that. You should first ask the original author and collaborate in creating a translation.

There are many types of hex editors out in the world. Wikipedia has a entry on hex editors: http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Hex_editor

I say when it comes to translating Add-ins, it is best to translate it from the source code. Hex editors won't allow you to do it properly, IMO.

It can be done with a hex editor, but it's probably more easier to do it from the source code.

@Zelgor: If you could post the English -> Portuguese translations for the text in TXTREAD that would be helpful. I'll post a Portuguese version using your translations.

And I can help him with that, if there's a need for the help.

Thanks, you could post them right here in this thread. There shouldn't be much to translate.

here it goes:

I'll try doing it like this: English = Portuguese

Text = Texto
TEXTREAD = Leitor de texto
Select your text file = Escolhe o teu ficheiro de texto

I don't think there's more to translate here, but if i missed some word/phrase, plz just post what's missing and i'll translate it

Couldn't that cause some problems by assuming identical syntaxes between languages (although mind you if you converted entire segments at a time, then it would be alright)

@Zelgor: Nice sig. Someone on a GM forum had a similar logic however it was "Practice makes good, because nobodies perfect" although there is a member whos username is Nobody so i made a modified version "Practice makes good, because Nobody's perfect", anyway enough off topic talking 4 me.

I believe there is more than that.

Can't open -> Nao consegue abrir (The "ã" in "Não" was replaced by "a", because the character "ã" won't show up on the calculator)

Ty E_net4,

I'm not shure we covered all error messages and such, since we don't know all, but if some more are missing, Kucalc will post them and we translate them

Well, I realized I had an old version of TXTRead and I don't know if the sentence I mentioned is still there... oh well, never mind.

Thanks, I'll try posting a translated version soon. I've lost the source code a while ago, so I might have to hex edit it.
