I like it. It is much easier to use than the first one. Mainly because some of the blocks were white and not filled in with checkered pattern. That made it easier on the old peepers XD.
Another great game XD keep em comming
in fack, you can help your self to a :cookie:

Lol, so did that help reduce the blur? There were some comments for the first version criticizing the blur.

the only blur i could see was the chracter moving. And that stayed the same as the first. But the blur isnt that bad. the only thing it does is makes it a bit hard to judge the distance between you and the enemy you are about to part ways with!

Just to inform you that I've translated this game to portuguese. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to compile it properly, so I have to ask kucalc to do it. XD
I can them post on the portuguese section.

Awesome. I attached the revised Portuguese version to the post.

On a sad side note however, MathWiz got 4th place in the Planete-Casio Competition.
1) Mario
2) Calc City
3) Pong 3D
4) MathWiz 2
5) Aspirine
6) Dunlords 2
7) City of Heroes
8) Yasuragi no ki
9) Ogame
10) Partitions
You can download all the games from here: http://www.planet-ca...asio.php?typ=a9
Games were graded on graphics, originality, bugs, level of programming and playability.

I'm a bit disappointed. However, I sense foul play and bias judging. Aspirin was submitted days after the competition ended and Mario suffered from horrible flickering when the game was submitted but was somehow allowed to be updated and fixed days after the competition ended. I would have thought that MathWiz would have gotten into the top three since the graphics were nice and the level of programming for MathWiz is higher than the rest of the games, but oh well... I would like to see them post their judging comments to explain and justify why this happened. You guys go can go check it out for yourself and make up your own thoughts.

Let's just stay ourselves honest. MathWiz 2 had some things that could be better.
On the other side, how could Calc City win the 2nd place!? The hell, anyone can play that and get tons of money! It's too addictive!

I also wonder who the hell thought of making Ogame. :starwars:

And aspirine just fails, how could it reach the 5th?

Oh well, enough of critics. XD

Exactly, that's the point. Some of the games were horrible when submitted by the deadline. However, after the submission deadlines, they updated their games. What I really hate was that they said MathWiz contained numerous bugs and was "unattractive", while other contestants were given the ability to fix their bugs after the contest ended.

On the other side, how could Calc City win the 2nd place!? The hell, anyone can play that and get tons of money! It's too addictive!

I would have also too expected CalcCity to get first. On graphics and programming level, I'd say it's higher than Mario. Mario didn't feature the complex pixel-by-pixel side scrolling that MathWiz offered. I guess the only reason Mario won was because of the grayscale graphics that were fixed after the contest ended.

And aspirine just fails, how could it reach the 5th?

The funny thing was that the guy who wrote Aspirin was givens day after the deadline to submit the game.

But, I guess I shouldn't be arguing. I got a free photo printer. :)

Sorry Kucalc, but I agree with Planete-Casio's guys, your Mathwiz2 is good, but not really attractive, but I cannot explain why ... (I think the speed could be an explaination ...)

I really think Mario deserve the 1st place, even if Menno's game was really great !

Aspirin was submitted days after the competition

Aspirin was submitted in JeuxCasio some weeks before the competition's end and it was added in PlaneteCasio latter.

hey all, i reged oin this forum just to reply in this thread

Well if you think some things should be changed in the game, like say difficulty levels, why not letting me know? The game has been in development for almost a year now, my home base is CK. The game was meant as being not to hard, enjoyable gameplay and a save routine so one can build on his city for some minutes and the get on with his or her work.

Also, indeed it is not hard to earn money, but do you have disasters on?

Wasnt Menno the one who made CalcCity and stuck it on CK a while back? I can remember it because most my friends wanted it XD

Yes that was me indeed

I really think Mario deserve the 1st place, even if Menno's game was really great !

please tell me what it needs to be really great, we discussed this game on CK and i had the idea you liked it
