Hi , can someone help me with a program for working out the partial derivative . I have the cfx-9850 calculator. Also is there ANY program which does indeifinite derivatives ( ex dy/dx x^2 = 2x ) . Surely something like that is not too hard to code. Cheers :)

Numerical calculations of derivatives is a fairly easy task (in fact, the calc can do it).. but symbolic derivatives? The in fact the CFX 9850 can't handle strings or symbolic expressions. So i think that's impossible o code that in basic.

Also 9850 doesn't have C/C++ support.

I suggest you take a look here: http://www.spiderpix...gramsindex.html.

It may not exactly be what you want, but there's some useful programs there.
