I'm sorry if this has already been answered but my problem is the following: I need to put a .txt file in my casio. By this I mean, I'd like to have a program with text only, it doesn't need to work, it just needs to have stuff written on it. So I've bought the fx-9860SD and also bought the memory card. I've the memory card on my computer but the extension is .g1m D:
Can anyone please explain me how to manipulate the program? My computer doesn't recognise the extension so I can't write.
Please help, thank you in advance and apologize me for bothering you amazing programmers:3

You can transfer *.TXT files on the SD-card or with FA-124 to your calc, then use kucalcs textreader or his explorer to display those textfiles (see this forum's downloads).
If you prefer eActivity you can convert textfiles on your PC using the FX9860G fileconverter (see this forum's downloads), then transfer the resulting *.g1e-files on SD-card or with FA-124 to your calc and view it with e-ACT.

I think mathz wants to use BASIC in order to easily modify the file and be able to transfer it to a CFX. Or maybe he uses BASIC to store notes since that was how you did it on the CFX-9850.

Do you really want to use BASIC as textviewer?

Hello!
Thank you for your help! I've tried that program but it only alows you to see a certain number of characters D: wish I extended so I am not able to see everything I wrote. And I'm in trouble again (ARGH!) It's in here: http://www.casiocalc...?showtopic=3982 thank you again! xx

You could try using EXPLORER-fx which has a built in text reader, clock and file browser: http://www.casiocalc...amp;load_that=1
If I may ask, what characters are you trying to view? Are they part of the ASCII standard?
(By the way, it's my job to answer questions around here )
