im making an rpg for cfx-9850 and it has a system where you can walk into buildings and come out.
when i need to go into a building i load a new program that calls up the new map file but when im inside and load the pause program then unload it it leaves traces.
when im outside i have made it so that the pause program returns to the main program and there is a goto command which reloads the map. But it doesn't work for inside the building.
How can i fix this?

it would be helpful if we could see the code, otherwise I cant do much. :(

on second thought, I would suggest making the pause program display on the screen the main game does not use. if your game is graphical display pause in text mode, or vice versa, that way you wont even need to redraw the screen.

actually it already does go back into the program but then there is a syntax error with my locate x,y,"0".
I think its because i loop it back to after the x and y values are assigned so that my "0" is on the same spot. but i don't see what's wrong with that. it worked for when i had a text-based pause menu.

after the game crashed (Syn error) press AC/ON.
Now type Y and press EXE and then X and press EXE.
Check wether the values are out of range!

*EDIT*

They are for sure if you entered grapics mode before.
Graphics mode reassigns X and Y from time to time.
I don't recommend to use these use V & W instead.
