  • Calculators:
    fx-9750 G Plus One
fx-9750 GA Plus FOUR of them

I bouth four fx 9750 GA PLUs for my four nephews science students in high school. They want to share their programs using the LINK functions but an error rmessage comes up: Transmit ERROR!. The four calculators were bought yesterday February 3. We have intermixed all four methodically trying to share programs but all the four give the Transmit ERROR.

We observe that the all four calculator have the same situation: the comunication cable SB-62 fit loosely in the conncection jacket. They come easily out with no effort. We have a 9750 G (not GA) Plus and the comunication cable fits firmly in the jacket. The cables of the GA Plus and the G Plus is the same SB-62 cable.

The setting of the four ones is the same: the factory default setting. The manual indicates that this messae is a problem with the comunication cable. But the four calculators are brand new. And the four cables are brand new. We observe that the metal end of the four comunication cables fits firmly in the 9750 G Plus, but loosely in their respectively 9750 GA Plus.

We love the look and the easy handling of these 9750 GA PLus. We do not want to return them to Office Max. Can it be possible that the these four calculators have a faulty or incorrect comunication jacket connection, or the cables were wrongly shipped in this batch ?

The LINK function are easy to follow. One calculator is stand by wating to receive data and the other is set up to transmit data. But when the transmission operation starts the erro message: Transmit ERROR ! comes up always. We even tried to transmit data from between the G Plus and the GA Plus and the same error message appears no matter which one of the four GA PLus is connecte to the G Plus.

Would any of the member of this important forum has an idea about this situation. Thanks for your kindly attention to these sad four nephews.

You need to be a bit firmer when you push the cable end in. It will give a satisfying click when correctly in place.
