Hi,
I have just purchased a "casio Fx-9750G Plus" calculator, and i've found a few programs on the net I'd like to use on teh calc.
However, the programs have been made with color commands, and so they won't work on my calc. I read some where taht you could edit something so they would work.
Is this true? and if so, how do i do it?
for example - i found this little prog:
Filename:DISTANCE
Cls:ClrText?
"FIRST POINT, X"??A:"Y"??B?
"SECOND POINT, X"??C:"Y"??D?
ClrText:" ":" ":Green " ":Orange " "?
Locate 1,1,"DISTANCE":(C-A)?+(D-??Y?
Locate 11,1,?Y:Locate 1,2,"OR ?"?
Locate 12,2,Y?
Locate 1,3,"SLOPE"?
Locate 11,3,(D-?(C-A?
Locate 1,4,"MID POINT"?
Orange "X=":Orange "Y="?
Locate 11,5,(A+C)?2:Locate 11,6,(B+D)?2?
I typed it into my calc, but i didn't no wot to do on the color commands - as i don't haev them.
WOT TO DO??
Thanks.
PS - i've just relised - some of teh icons aren't displayed properly, like the arrows etc.

trouble is, if you remove them, it might not show up the way it was intended and might be a bit confusing.
i'm not going to bother typing it in, though.
and why are there two smilies in the code?? i couldn't type it in if i wanted to.

in this program you don`t need to see the colors , just erase the color in the program , most programs just use color to look good

That code was intended for the CFX series. The ::ClrText:" ":" ":Green " ":Orange " ":: was a way of using color text with the locate commands, because just having text in " " was VERY slow, but commands like "Green Locate 1,1,"HI"" would produce a sintax error. So most programers that wanted color but still wanted speed would use two commands like this:
Green " "
Locate 1,1,"HI"
The first command would change any text put on that line of display to green. I think it was actually a flaw in the way the crappy BASIC worked, but it was a helpful one so they never corrected it. In the example you put, the first two lines were supposed to be normal blue, the slope was green and the midpoint was orange. The program should work fine without the color commands, so take out the line with ::ClrText:" ":" ":Green " ":Orange " "?:: in it.

I have one FX 9750 G too and I have any problem when I running programs whit ?colours? command?..
As many guys already have said, just remove then?.
Your FX 9750 G Plus is a new or the old model, my FX 9750 G is the old model whit 32Kb of RAM
Maybe the new models can't run programs whit "colours" command.....

Colour screens are crap
We've been on to this arguement before, so just search colour/color screen and I'm sure you'll find something
