Simon Lothar found the key combo to access the diagnostic mode!

Also, there's a combo for forcing your GII calc into OS update mode:

The primary emergency OS update can be triggered by simultaneously holding down F2' /> , 4' /> and while pressing the RESTART-button.
Release every button. The calc should show a blank display now. Finally press 9' /> and ×' /> consecutively.

Still a "Valiable Manager" ... did Casio learn nothing since the 9860?

I thought the diagnostic menu in the 9860 only said:

=DIAGNOSTIC MODE=
factory use only!

press: EXIT

so where does valiable manager come in?

I just did a small update and reposted this as the UCF disables the 'edit' button after a week or so.
