We just purchased 52 pcs casio fx-9860GII SD for our business.
All of our computer are running latest 64-bit windows 7.

Where is the download link for the 64-bit version of FA-124?
The one included on the CD does not seem to work.

I appreciate a quick reply as we are dependent on the usb transfer
from the calculators to the PC's.

Hi and welcome to the UCF. :)

You can try downloading the latest FA-124 from here (scroll down to Download): http://world.casio.c...a124/index.html

I think it will work under 64 bit. Be sure to install this first before plugging in your calculator.

Thank you for the link. The program installed correctly when set to compability mode windows xp.

However, it does not recognize the calculator. When plugged in the calculator is recoognized as CESG502 in device manager, but no driver is installed.

Do you have the correct driver also?

There is no 64bit driver. But someone has managed to connect his fx9860 to a virtual machine: read this

No 64-bit? Surely this cannot be in 2010.

Just published 64bit Driver for Classpad is the same as for the 9860G. I've installed FA-CP1 on my Windows7 64bit OS (this installes usb driver) and than I have copied
FA-124 forlder from Windows XP. Now is it possible to run FA-124 on Win7 64, connect to 9860G and even transfer programs, data between 9860G<->csv, g1m etc. What isn't possible so far, is to browse programs or variable directly in FA-124 - it shows funny characters or nothing...

Further progress :-)
After copying of FA-124 on Win7 64, you must register "regsvr32 c:\Program Files (x86)\Casio\CASIO FA-124\VSFlex8L.ocx" by command "
Now is it possible to browse variables, matrices lists in FA-124. Funny characters browsing programs are caused by missing font.
What is important that the 64bit driver really works...

Font problem has been solved and I've fully functional FA-124 V2 under Win7 64 :-))
Missing fonts are FA123ALG.TTF and FA123GRF.TTF located in c:\Windows\Fonts on a Windows XP machine. These font must be installed on Windows 7 (copy to C:\Windows\Font isn't enough - must be installed)

There is a 64-bit FA-124 version on Casio's servers.
But it does not support the SB-88 cable because the cable driver is not 64-bit compatible (yet).
