I recently bought a Casio fx-9860g SD (first model, not the ii model). I transferred over to it a BASIC program that I wrote on an fx-9860g (not SD), using a 3-pin cable. The program is a prime factorization program.
This prime factorization program runs perfectly well for any input number on the non-SD version of the 9860g. But when I run the same program on the SD version, it only finishes execution for small input values. When I enter a number that will take 30 seconds or more to finish factorizing, the fx-9860g SD experiences an unexpected shut-off of power.
When I turn it on again, I see that there is a break at a part of the program that should not be causing any break.
Again: this program was written on a Casio fx-9860g, where it works just fine.
Again: the same program, with no changes at all, triggers a power shut-off when the program execution time is over 30 sec (approximately) on my Casio fx-9860g SD.

Problem solved!
I used a voltmeter to test the batteries in the suspect fx-9860g SD calculator.
The four AAA batteries in the suspect calculator had these voltages:
1.418 V
1.423 V
1.422 V
1.264 V
I replaced the weakest with a battery having a voltage of 1.454 V.
The backup CR2032 battery has a voltage of 3.3 V, so it is nice and healthy.
I backed up my main memory and reset the main memories.
The problem appears to be fixed. The fx-9860g SD prime factorized 97555093 as 9871 x 9883 in 38.0 seconds.
I have three non-SD fx-9860g calculators. They solve the same problem in
35.9 seconds
38.7 seconds
41.9 seconds
I have two fx-9860g ii SD calculators. They solve the same problem in
52.8 seconds
56.8 seconds
