Hi why whenever I try to do a division such as 4.0 x 10^5 / 2.0x10^8 either written as a fraction or in a straight line equation as is written here, it my fx-85ES often gives fractional answers, such as in this case 1/500. I know this is 0.002, but I can't get my calculator to display it this way. I can get it to display it as 2x10^-3, which of course is also correct, but I would simply like to be able to select which format to display the answer in. Is there a way to do this?

PS

This forum is completely unusable in Firefox 4. The editor doesn't work at all.

Sorry, I dont have an fx-82. however, this forum does work in firefox 4. Maybe you have the beta version?

You could also try pressing the button in the upper right hand corner of the editor. (it looks like a refresh button, but it really switches between plain text and rich text);)

Hope this helps!
