Recently purchased an fx-9860gii, used on ebay and it keeps losing power and I'm unable to turn it on. It will work fine for a few days then for no apparent reason will stop turning on. Changing the batteries sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I've tested the input voltage and get 6.2V on my DMM. My fx-100AU never has this problem and is still running on the original batteries.
The 9860gii is also my first graphing calculator from casio, so I'm not sure what to expect. My brothers TI-84 is still running on its original batteries so I guess it's not a problem common to all graphing calculators drawing too much power.

Please help. I really like casio calculators and don't want to switch to TI.

Sell that one on eBay (it is probably defective) and get an fx-9750gii. upgrade it as explained elsewhere in UCF, and save $50 and the problem you are haveing. IMHO ;)
