Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a new calculator. I'd like to buy either ALGEBRA FX 2.0 PLUS or FX 9860G II. However, I can't decide which one I should buy (I'm studying Programming computer graphics and I love mathematics).

Could you tell me pros and cons of those calculators please? Which features one lucks and the other has etc.

Thank you!:-)

I think the AFX has built-in CAS. But if you are willing to spend that much, why not get a ClassPad or UberGraphX

But the UberGraph is not available yet, and it's even supposed to be redesigned if I recall correctly...

If you want a color display:
Casio Prizm or TI-Nspire CX or wait for ClassPad 400

ClassPad 400 hasn't been confirmed - it's all just speculation with no proof. We can't know for sure if Casio is going to make one.

UberGraphX looks really good. Do you know when it's supposed to be released?

I'm still wondering whether there's a comparison table between AFX and FX9860g.;-)

It has already been redesigned (as of March/April 2011). website: http://www.uberspire.com/ View the blog.

The UberGraphX will be released sometime this summer. If you want to be notified when it is released, go to uberspire.com and post a comment in the blog. (that is, if you are sure you want one - I do.) It looks like it is going to be a sweet calc.

JosJuice, where did you get your sig? I haven't seen it anywhere else.

I mean that it's going to be redesigned once again. He has mentioned it on Omnimaga.

A friend made that image for me.
