I don't usually use it to link things to the main menu, but I'm pretty sure you have to build the drive first with whatever EXE files you want, then fill in the command under the Aurgument field (ie: n:\explorer.exe), add a bitmap icon that fits the requirments of the icons (I don't remember the exact size, but also a monochrome BMP), and that option is under the BitMap field, then send the drive file with that information selected to the proper drive by checking the drive you want next to the SEND and RECIEVE buttons. The field in the lower left is only for building the drive files, so you have to use that first.
If there is anything I'm missing, please fill in! Like I said, I don't usually link things to the main menu using Flashcom, but I really like the app:)

Roeoender (let me advertise your site ) wrote a full instruction of uploading apps to AFXs in english

You can also upload all files, not only executables.
It's not neccesery to make an icon to menu (I always had the same problem as you).
I upload the programs to calc directly by sending drive and then execute it with TOUCHE.

Hehe, it wasn't enough for my calc. Every time I tried it, calc displayed memory error and reset whole flash.
So I stopped attempting to upload menu items.

A way around the confusion that I've used in the past when all else fails is I use the official CASIO Add-In installer (gasp!) to upload an explorer, then to make sure I don't waste space on that drive I use flashcom to upload the explorer EXE file and anything else I could fit on that drive to the drive the Add-In installer put the CFX file in. Then the icon on the main menu will still access the explorer plus all the other games and programs would be accessible through the explorer.

Try this, install one add in drive L using the flash com, then install another add in using the Casio add in installer, the Casio add in installer will install the CFX package in drive L!!!!!, why this happen?

FlashCom and other 'illegal' programs don't put informations about programs to the memory if you choose simple drive sending.
The full information contains name, version, representative bitmap and others, which are stored in a special place of memory. Drive sending doesn't fill this place, so Add-ins can't recognize such programs.
Casio robots make everything for 'legal' users, who use original Casio software.
One of Casio distributors said, that if someone uses illegal software, he will loose his guarantee.
Lol
