Hi you need a regular 'old' SD-card Fastest
is class 4 I think (*). I got a SanDisk ultra II class 4 at 2 Gb. (Which turned out to be somewhat of an overkill both in terms of speed and size, I've hardly used the SD feature).
If you have a regular SD-card, you can try formatting it. System -> F5' /> F6' /> F3' /> F1' /> Yes format card
(*) Unless you have the currently rare powergraphic 2 version as noted in this thread: http://www.casiocalc...?showtopic=6562

Hi,
If I'm not wrong, 2GB is the maximum readable memory.

Yes, it doesn't support SDHC, just regular SD-cards.
Also, the new fx-9860GII SD can now use SDHC cards with up to 32 GB of memory! This model can be identified by the label "USB Power Graphic 2".

Today, I have tried a SAMSUNG 8GB SDHC card [on a Power Graphic 2 model]. It worked instantly without any problems (and the need for formatting).

Yes, get FA-124, it's available from http://edu.casio.com , it's called "support software" on the site and in the pile of checkboxes on a later page.
You use this tool to transfer programs etc. to the calculator.

I have that but what I mean is that the .g1a files IN THE SD CARD DOESN'T appear on the main menu -

Ok Select F (Memory) from the main menu. Then select F3 SD Card and see if you can copy the .g1a to storage memory from there and then see if the extension appears in the main menu.
