I seems that the answer is 8MHz, i read it from a casio user website but i'm not sure. But I guess some versions of NEC V30X can work until 33MHz.

NEC V30X is for the AFX 2.0, the classpad i dont know.

Maybe the classpad have an processor of 32 bits, i think that its based on a 80386 or 80486 CPU (thats nostalgic for me...).

On the web appear than the classpad cpu is the SH7291, i made and quick search of a datasheet but i dont find anything.

Sometimes it's good to look for the informations in sources.
I mailed Casio distributors, I think they will answer it.

BTW: Do you think Casio designers know about and, what's most important, use our basics and 'illegal' software?

I think that some of the casio designers use softwares like file explorers, Flash100, etc... But they are wrong, they would should take this programs to add that knowledge to make the newest versions of casio calculators.

Some casio users of this forum have best ideas that these casio guys.

WHAT ?

I mean, Casio supports some softwares at its official site.
Asked about 'our' softwares they said that its illegal :D and those who use such programs may lose their calculators guarantee :D .
I just wonder if they are so self-lawful that use 'only' the official programs.

casio has the worst customer service and public relations I've ever seen, instead of supporting their customers they try to put them down as quickly as possible, it can be quite frusterating... don't you think that if casio hosted user made programs they would seem alittle more friendly, rather than an apathetic corprate monster? someday its going to cost them. (actually it already is, I've seen the evidence myself: my old algebra teacher told me she wanted to make Casio our school calculator but they wouldn't cooperate)

I want to buy a new calculator, and I check this comparison:

http://www.geocities...classPad300.htm

But they dont do a comparison of the costumer service, it might be a great parameter to decide which calculator buy.

It seems that they dont really know the problem causes, and they wash their hands saying that. Indeed here in Mexico they have a bad costumer service.
