You should introduce yourself if you have not already done so.

Unfortunately at this point you cannot read *.txt files on your calculator. However, someone is working on that very thing right now at cemetech, so if you wait a few weeks, you may be able to use his addin.

Please, answer me more two few questions about our Casio Prizm:
**ABOUT READ TXT FILES : After the development, i have to atualize the OS of the Casio Prizm or instal an addon ? Do you know about that ?
**I HAVE ANOTHER NEED: I need calc indefinite integrals with the Casio Prizm. This i already know that the machine cannot calc. But i´m looking for an addon (software) equal to "STEP BY STEP" that contens in HP CALCULATORS. Do you could answer something about this, please?
Thank you so much,
Marcos

Someone is working on this too. Right now there is not a release, but I think the alpha is coming out in the upcoming weeks. It is called gCAS.

1. plug your prizm into the computer
2. press
![<span class=](/dot/public/style_emoticons/default/F1.jpg)
3. a window will open. drag and drop g3a files to the window.
4. Do 'safely remove hardware'
5. unplug your prizm.

Facepalm gCAS is for glassOS, which is for the TI-z80.
EDIT: Whoopsies... Didn't realize this was gonna get ported. (Smiles sheepeshly)

the developer SimonLothar has developed an application that allows you to read txt files on the calculator
you can download it here: http://www.omnimaga.....0;attach=11713
its very simple to use, copy the file NOTEVIEW.G3A to your calculator and .TXT file(s)
if you need to use special caracters, Read the README file in zip

:: In large files, it will freeze at certain places if you go line-by-line, yet at others, the only way to keep it from freezing is to go page-by-page.
Suggestion:
:: Show the line number somewhere, and provide a skip-to-line feature. This would be great for reading ebooks on-calc.

but, the native eactivity is more slow than this txt reader (because eactivity use larger fonts)
for your suggestion:
if simon add numbers in lines, we loose screen size to show text.

Ah, I see. So I should divide large txt's into smaller sections?

I have split my ebook into 40KB pieces.
Here is what happens:
I press the arrow key for next page or new line, it doesn't matter which (when it freezes at a certain spot with next page, newline gets past it when I get to that point. When it freezes with newline, next page gets past it.).
It will then freeze at certain spots in the file. But it doesn't just freeze, thats the weird part. It skips a few pages ahead, and when I go back to where I was, it freezes.
Now, I have a few questions.
Why doesn't the addin only store the current page to ram? It seems like it is storing all the previous pages to ram also.
I did not have this problem on my fx9860 with INSIGHT, which had a text reader also. Can anyone tell me why?
And, lastly, is it possible to have a "search for word or phrase" function? And maybe a way to change the pink rectangles to another color?
