I have an MEI S1 exam in the morning (9:00) and want to learn how to do hypothesis tests on my casio fx-9750gii with OS 02.00.0200 installed.

These are the sorts of questions we get in the exam:

A school estimates the probability that a student gets an A or B pass in a Biology
module to be 0.6. The school appoints a new teacher, who has never taught this
module before. The Head of Science is concerned that the A and B pass-rate may
decrease. Although all students passed in the following year, out of a group of 19
students only 8 got an A or B grade. Construct a critical region for a hypothesis
test with a 5% significance level. Comment on the Head of Department’s
concerns.

How would I go about using my calculator to give me critical regions of hypothesis tests?
If someone can help me in my last few hours of need, I would be most grateful. <:3D~

Hope you can help,

Alf. <:3D~

In the manual, Chapter 6 "Statistical Graphs and Calculations" section "5. Tests" describes various tests (Z, T, F, Chi, ANOVA, etc). Have you read them yet?

(I don't have an fx btw)

Yeah, I looked at that, didn't understand it though. It seemed to be in the format of mean and standard deviation which, in the questions I get, doesn't apply.
Anyway, the exam was this morning and the hypothesis test question wasn't vary hard anyway. But I'd still be interested to know how it's done to help me in any further stats modules I may do. (providing I pass this one <:3D~)
