Actually you do want to know, considering the high usage share of the crappy versions 5.5 through 8.Not that you'd want to know how your site looks in IE
The recent 9 and 10 versions are still not widely used.
You still won't be able to test javascript using netrenderer, which shouldn't be a big problem for most people as they usually don't use bleeding edge features of js.

Just used CuteNews on a site instead of conventional blogging software like wordpress or blogger because it is so much more minimalistic. Skinning is easy, and you can integrate posts into your site with a simple php include().
