I missed the live view, it's really stunning if he's really exceeded the speed of sound. That means he would hear sounds he makes, and maybe his own speaking with some delay

Oh wow I never thought of that.

Even though we don't know if he broke the speed of sound at his altitude, i think he still did break the speed of sound at sea level (mach 1).

Well, not really. He is moving at the same speed as himself, so he could still hear the sounds he made.

By the time the atmosphere was thick enough for him to hear wind, he would have been below the speed of sound anyway.

Fun fact: Fighter pilots cannot hear their engines after passing the speed of sound because the engine is located behind them.

Yep. After reaching their destination, they hear the previous sounds of their landing.
Actually Baumgartner could also hear himself falling when he reduced his speed near the ground.
