Hi, is there any programme, which I can load to my Casio fx-9860GII, in order to do indefinite integrals? ( I've never loaded anything to it, I don't know how to do it or if i can do it)

Thanks!

Milagros.

In "run mat" you have to press "shift " "f4"
if you want to calculate integrals download http://cas.jeuxcasio...en/download.php
have a nice day

That program does not allow integration. Only differentiation is support by jeux and symbolix.

integration is also supported, I have CAS jeuxcasio, download it you'll see : its in the calc menu, number 2 "interg2"

Now try and make it work. If you put X^2 and try to integrate it all you get is "Error : Syntax". I am also looking for a working program that would allow me to integrate but i have had no luck. Only step forward i have had is the hints from casimo.

you also have to enter the variable : integr(x^2,x and it will give you x^3/3

Scientifix, does it works? (I mean.. have you used it in your own calculator?) I tried to download the CAS. However, there says that I have to use the FA-124 software (which I found in the cd that comes with the calculator). The trouble is, that when I put the cd in my computer I can't download it, I tried three times.. it doesn't finish downloading and suggests me to 'try again'. I don't know what to do..

Thank you everybody for helping me

Milagros.

It does work, but only for simple integration i.e X^2 or X^2/5x. If you try something like sin(x)/ln(x) it can't seem to give an answer.

Oh, what a pity! I hoped it would do the difficult ones. I can look for the simples in the table of integrals.

And what about sharing information with other calculators, can it be possible? A classmate has one of the last models (and she can do the indefinite ones), can she 'send' me the programme or the only way is buying the same calculator as her?

There is no current program for 9860GII that can integrate to a good standard, so i doubt she has the same calculator as you. You can buy a calculator with a built in CAS which supports natural display, this will do complex integrals for you. Some ti-'s you can get pretty cheap for calc prices.

If you try something like sin(x)/ln(x) it can't seem to give an answer.

But any other CAS in the world can't answer this neither. ;)

Can it caluclate e.g sin^2(x)/cos(x)? Are there technical documentation?
