Hi everyone.
I have a serious problem about choosing the right calculator. I already have a FX 5800P.
My need is scaling big matrices with simbolic values inside them. I know that my FX 5800P can do neither scaling nor symbolic calculations.
I would buy another calculator with CAS support, but the problem is that during the examination programmable calculators won't be allowed.
My FX 5800P doesn't look really programmable, so I've never had problems about her.
But now I can only find CAS calculator very big and showy like 9860G. Do you have any suggestions?
Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you.

hi & welcome to UCF
read this topic:
http://community.cas...s-with-casiofx/
and remember; only classpad series can work with symbolic matrix
classpad series have a lot of CAS functions (more more than Algebra-fx 2 plus)
if you can; wait for FX-CP400(color screen classpad)
that will be available in various countries starting in early summer 2013
the biggest problem about old classpad was screen; but i think the new one dont
have this issue
read this topic:
http://www.casio-int.../2012/fx-cp400/
see this page about CAS functions that available in the Algebra fx-2 plus:
http://edu.casio.com...ucts/menu_cmnd/
the other models are: (these models dont have official CAS):
casio fx-9860g||(fx-9860g with new chip and backlit)
casio fx-prizm(color screen fx-9860g)
see main page to learn more about other models:
http://edu.casio.com/
anyway my suggestion is FX-CP400
