Is there anyway at all to generate a Character by some method like CHR$(n)?
It thought there was some special, for some reason hidden, method using LOCATE x,y,#value or something
like that to get a CHARACTER to be displayed, based on ASCII code value!!

Surely this silly fx9860 can do this simple thing?
I want to be able to generate special strings based on a formula, and I can't even find out how to
conveniently get a Character from an Integer value!

Any help appreciated... I need to go from INTEGER ASCII CODE to a Character_String.

You have to write your own function: StrMid("0123456789 (etc)", N - 49, 1) (untested).
