Hi,

As RM-units are becoming more and more affordable on websites like Ebay, I decided to contact Casio support in order to send me the RM-AFX update package because the original website is no longer available (http://web.archive.o...mfx20_plus.html).

I compared the new RM-AFX-ROM (expanded version named UpdateCode.bin) with those Roms available here and the 1.05 one here. It seems to be different.

Furthermore, I extracted a 512k RAM(?) image from the Windows executable. It contains two interesting strings: "OS Update" and "UPDATE02.EXE". I guess, this is similar to the fx-9860G updaters which are loaded into RAM when updating the OS. That's why I named the file UpdateExe.bin

No, you can't. You need the RM-ALGEBRA model.
All normal FX 1.0/2.0 calculators use mask ROMs.

Hello.

It's sad, all above links to the RM-Algebra FX 2.0 update program and ROM images are broken.

Did anyone keep a copy of these precious files ?

And by the way, do you remember anyone getting or sharing the similar files for the RM-7000 (fx-7400G Plus) or RM-9000 (cfx-9850GB Plus) ?

Thanks.
