Hi,

I have been using my Prizm for awhile now and it is by far my favorite calculator. There is just one thing that I cannot seem to do easily, which is use an answer from a previous calculation other than the last one. Basically, I am looking for the functionality of the 'Ans' function, but for an answer higher up than the last line.

In the example:

59/42
1.404761905
Ansx2
2.80952381
2.2x3
6.6
(10-2.80952381)/Ans

there is no straightforward way to use the previously calculated '2.80952381' in the last calculation other than storing it as a variable. I cannot even clip the previous calculation as a whole because 'Ans' will not have the same value. I do not understand why the 'Clip' function does not work with answers. On a Texas Instruments calculator, any previous answer can be highlighted using the arrows and when 'Enter' is pressed, the highlighted answer is copied into the current calculation.

I have searched the manual, the internet, and even spoke to technical support. This query was already asked on this forum but I feel it was not answered completely and there has been at least one software update since then so I thought I would ask again. Surely I am not the only person who would like to be able to do this...

Thank you in advance for any assistance :) .

As far as I know, the software update didn't change anything regarding that.

I don't really know if it is possible, but it would definitely be nice if the R&D team put that functionality in the next OS update...

What about storing the answer you're interested in into a variable (letter)? Is not that hard, right?
