Is it really illegal? You/(s)he/I own the calculator, it's like installing another OS on a PC, surely?
If not, any ideas where I can discuss it. I can't find any "9750 to 9860" on any proper-looking casio forums on google within the past month - only youtube-ers who have no idea what they're doing
My 9860GII SD turned up and it's great. Got blocnote and JeuxCasio's CAS running on there, and it all works perfectly!
My friend now wants one, and I mentioned to him that he could get the 9750GII and upgrade it (only after I realized the memory could be upgraded as well), but now I want to just double check this is all do-able/current. I read somewhere that's it's not possible on 9750GII 's that come with newer versions, but I didn't even know they had different versions.
My possible understanding of the situation (half guesswork) is they all share the same OS, just different version numbers, and the 9860 is upgradeable while the 9750 is not (officially). But then that would mean that the 9860GII only started supporting natural display once it reached a certain version, which I don't think is the case, so I'm really not sure.
Once he's got his on the 9860GII OS, will he be able to update it in the future, just as I would with mine?
Sorry if we're not meant to discuss this here :|
