Hello!

So i have a fx-9750G2 and need to do some hex to binary conversions.

Now it have come to my attention that it is not able to to 16 bits, just 15 (even though it displays all 16)

The question is, is there a simple way of accomplishing this with casio basic?

Thanks!

There is a function that does this but I'm incapable of explaining it to you as I know nothing about hex or binary calculations. I know octa is another conversion option but I'm not sure that it is available in BASIC language

I stand corrected!

It is possible!

When you create a new program begin by using Base
Press MENU>log>F3>F2>HEX2BIN>EXE

"What Hex value do you want converted to binary"?->H

F4>F1>F2>Alpha>[H]>EXIT

Shift>VARS>F2

F3>F2

This will throw up worries because I don't know anything about this method but maybe calling normal programs to store the data as Str n values will help since OCTA AND HEX use letters as integers which precludes them being used as variables. Obviously the called programs will manage strings well and pass the results back to the base program for conversion.

Further info on this is available in the manual on page 8-3
