Hi everybody, I recently got a new Casio fx-9750GII for the new school year. School hasn't started yet, so I've been tinkering around with the calc, I upgraded the OS to fx-9860 OS but it's not the newest OS version.

 

Is it possible to use the fx-9860 update tool to update the 9860 OS or am I stuck on version 02.04.0201? The latest fx-9860 OS is 2.09 on Casio's edu website (as of 08/30/2018

I'm unsure, but what are you needing that the new OS's have?

I'm just wondering if it's possible, since there will be some new features added down the road

I would imagine you could. Since your calculator has the fx9860 os, the program would recognize it and update. Although I personally wouldn't try it as I don't know what cpu the new update is for. 

You should know there is a sh3 and sh4 cpu if you updated your fx9750. 

I mean since there are sh3 and sh4 cpu's in the fx9860gii series, I think the program would detect the cpu type. 

You could try it at your own risk I guess.

You can't update the fx-9750GII with Casio softwares.

 

But you can update it with third party tools.

Upgrade to Graph 75+ v2.05 (not 2.09!), it has the best functionality.
