Update:

Soooo..The word from Casio is that the keys are different on each calculator (no kidding).

YouTube posters have stated that the programs on each calculator are similar however.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to buy the Casio Workbooks sold on the Casio site.

I'm looking at the Casio fx-9860G II workbooks in particular as they are cheapest.

Are they compatible with the Classpad 2 400??

Thanks,

Stefos1

Why is there another duplicate of your post?

Because I didn't think that Classpad folks would care about this in the Prizm sub-forum?

Thanks for asking

Well, according to me you can use Casio fx-9860G II workbooks together with ClassPad II. You need to know the differences (e.g. the input and output commands) between Casio Basic for 9860g and Casio Basic for ClassPad.

Hi,

I've seen that the 9860G 2 & the CG 50 are very, very similar.  I've ordered the workbooks and plan on using them w/my Classpad and will see how difficult the transition from CG 60 to Classpad is.

Thanks for your help,

Stefos1

There are practically no difficulties. Rewriting programs from 9860g and cg-10/20/50 to ClassPad is quite easy.  Based on my experience I have opened both user guides to match the commands and names of the function - e.g.  "*row+" for 9860g and "mRowAdd" for ClassPad. ClassPad and cg-50 have some color commands for output and graphing compared to 9860g.
