you should be able to just cut and paste into the FA-123 editor, see if that works, if not I'm sure theres another way.

As crimson say, "You should be able to just cut and paste into the FA-123 editor, see if that works, if not I'm sure theres another way."

Yes that works, but for example, if you copy text from a doc file to a cat file (in fa-123), if you copy "I'm", it will appear on the screen some like "I?m". Maybe you can write it in fa-123 and send it to the calc.

I think your right bytefish, Ooze: try using txtview, it (when combined with AIP or FlashCom or Flash100) will allow you to send .txt files to your calc and view them.

It will be a bit work for a newbie, but really it is worthe a try:
1. Find a program FlashCom in the web
2. ask someone how to install a new icon with it (or search the net for answer) - it should point to drive L:\linl.exe
3. download Linl and TxtView from my (very unoficial) web page www.casiodev.republika.pl (If you understand Polish then there is a complete info how to do everything).
4. using flashcom send Linl and TxtView to drive L.
5. To any other drive send your .txt (plain text) files.
6. Configure linl to automatically run .txt files with TxtView (info in helpfiles for linl).
That is all.
Someone maybe points you a thread about FlashCom (I explained about it 1000 times and I a bit bored).
Roeoender.

PS. To others - I recommender FlashCOM instead of GLink+Flash100 because they it is easier to use.
And Flash100 doesn't work with my cable.

Roeoender -> What's the version ?
Flash100 1.24 or 1.30b work with all cables (with Casio protocol)

I have a "Polish" cable which is powered by the RTS pin.
Simply to send data from the calc to the PC the RTS and DTR pins should be configured correctly.
For example I cannot communicate in this way with hiperterminal.
BradN ROM download program (COMSend) works only when I CLEAR the RTS box and CHECK DTR box.
Hope this will help.
Roeoender.
PS. There is a very good program to reverse engineer COM protocols - it is called ComDebug made by Windmill.
