First, Let's look what it is:

fx-991cn-x-bk.jpg

↑This is my CASIO fx-991CN X(June 2014-November 2019). now, it named fx-991CN X BK.

Why is BK? look 3 pictures down here.

fx-991cn-x-gy.jpgfx-991cn-x-bu.jpgfx-991cn-x-pk.jpg

See that? It's more like fx-82GT series in UK & Ireland

BUT we called the blue version BlUe, and pink is PinK.

and this "CN X" is no QR, and some modes' 991EX!

His mode:Calculat, Complex, Base-N, Matrix, Vector, Statistics, Table, Equation/Func, Inequality and Ratio.

That's all!

In 991DE_X CASIO sets the date inside the calculator case:
29833133_m.jpg
It has 13 modes, 60 min autoOFF set and several additional features. Sometimes it seems to me that CASIO is not engaged in the production of modern equipment, but in the disposal of old stocks under different names :-)
For example, in order to increase sales of 64×240 pxl displays, the rather primitive (Edit: "fx"-6500sy) sf-6500sy digital diaries with 128 KB of RAM were released in 2000, while the PV-250 with 2 MB flash RAM was produced in 1998.
This list could be continued for a very long. BK means backward.

I think other color is "backward" but not the BK version.
And "fx-991ES PLUS A 2nd edition"(an fx-82ES PLUS which has Chinese wrong message, that's why my calculator saying "自变量错" but not "自变量错误") is "backward" too.
