When editing previous equations in run-matrix, pressing EXE re-executes the equation, as well as everything after that. While this is useful, I was wondering if there was a way to only re-execute the one equation and not everything else after it.

CG50 - How to re-execute only one equation in run-matrix

You could scroll up to the equation and then use copy
to copy the equation to the clipboard & then paste to paste the function from the clipboard to the present and then edit it. The fx-CG50 also saves the clipboard history to the flash when powering off, so until you copy another equation it stays on the clipboard for as long as you want it to.
Unfortunately if the equation needs the values calculated before it, but you don't want everything after it to be calculated then this isn't going to help. You could switch to linear mode instead of math mode, so it's a bit like the Casio MS series, but you do lose the pretty text display and things like radical simplifications, but it wont propagate the changes through your history, though it also wont use values for variables prior to that equation if those variables changed afterwards.
Interestingly as well, Linear mode gives you access to 20 memories for creating your own function, and the fx-CG50 saves both the Math & Linear states so you can switch between both at will without worrying about losing your history. You can even copy formulas between modes, so I use the function memory in linear mode to store formulas, copy the function to the clipboard, switch mode to Math and then paste the function in Math and it will automatically translate the result to pretty text format.
