Marix entry to CG500 into A.

-3 1

1 -3   => A

eigVl(A)        {-2,-4}                   Correct!

eigVc(A)                                    Ummmm??

                     0.7071   -0.7071

                     0.7071  0.7071

According to symbolab (and text book). The EigenVector should be

1 -1

1  1

Suggestion what I have done wrong and is there way to fix this?

Is this an old issue that left unresolved for some time?

You expect the eigenvectors are unique, but this assumption is not right.
The eigenvectors are not unique.
If you multiply the last solution by 0.7071 you get eigenvectors like in classpad solution.
any multiple of an eigenvector is also an eigenvector

Edited: Some software packages,including classpad, calculate the eigenvectors to get norm = 1.
