It is very hard to set up the fx-9750GIII the way I'd like it, especially for engineering rather than math classes.
I just want all my calculations to be displayed as decimal or scientific, not fractions that require me to hit the S<-->D button constantly.
Using "Set Up", I put the calculator in NORM1 or NORM2 mode. If I divide pi/6, it always first shows the fraction, forcing the SD button shuffle.
Number fractions, such as 2/5, do display first as decimal; however, I would like all numeric calculations to first appear in decimal or scientific.
I cannot find any way to do this. Every youtube video talks about the SD button, but not setting a default.
It makes this calculator cumbersome to use for engineering purposes. Is there any way to set this up, or is this calculator really just a student tool?
Also, on both my Casio calculators, there is no quick way to convert from decimal to scientific. Older basic calculators had a button for that, very valuable for Chemistry.
