After a while trying to get my php-nuke site up, i have decided to stick with html, as i can be more creative and i feel more satisfaction from my own design.

Please visit my new site and tell me what you think. The whole design is almost completely different.

Me too!
My site doesn't need anything more advanced than html. :)
Even the links in my site directly refer to Geocities, not to the home folder as it should, and that's wat I'm working on to move it to Crimson's host!

BTW: Anyone know how can I automatically re-direct people to my new site?

Meta refresh
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="x;URL=http://www.my.com">
replace the x with time you want to wait until redirecting.

one word: iframe

it is a nice site, better than your last (no offence) but i would put the content in an iframe, if you need help with this just ask, its how my site is done, the only problem is mine will only fit in a window that is 1024 x 768, though it can be made to fit in smaller, it was just personal preference.

so iframe it and it will be amasing

then you will only need decent content.................J/K

I have some problems with IFrames, I've used them quite a bit and I feel I know the good points and bad so listen to this:

Good:
you can have a window in a window that is scrollable
you can chage content in the Iframe quickly without refreshing the rest of your page
they can be absolute postioned
sites designed around them (like andys) are generally quite good looking

Bad:
unsupported by all browsers
can be problematic to viewers scrolling
you cant go to a page that would normally be contained in a Iframe and have the Iframe and content appear arround it (you would have to send vistors to the main page of your site no matter what)

its really a personal prefrence, I think they only work if used well and effectivly, but I've stoped using them because of browser problems, my last site had one and many people had problems viewing it.

You forgot another bad point about frames and iframes: search engines doens't like them... each frame is a different page for a robot such as googlebot.

thats very true, but it is possible to avoid loading up the page outside of the Iframe/frame with some scripts, but I dont think ck knows that much about web design/php

slightly wrong there 2072, an i frame is not a frameset, so it s compatable with search engines :D

Good points.
I'm only using iframes when I can't get an other way.
Old browser won't accept them.

You are able to load different pages in a iframe by for example using the GET-method in php. You will then get an url such as www.mysite.com/index.php?frame=page.html.
In javascript this is also possible I mean, but it's difficult.

But why do you need to use iframes?
I like it so, and there's nothing to be changed.

go ahead and use Iframes, I actually like them on your site. I'm generally impartial to them, depending on the situation.
