I to all members of the UCF!

I want your help with the project already mentioned in the FDF.
The project is quite clear in my head and i'm ready to do it.
But this will be done in steps and requiers your help.

1) @Program authors
2) @All users
3) @Killer
4 @All who are in contact with the developers if Flash100 / FlashCOM

1.)

At all program authors:

Please send you programs with the folowing information to me:

*Name of the program
*Copyright note
*Type (ASM/C or BASIC)
*Models the program runs on
*Program state (aplha / beta / final)
*Sourcecode? (appended / a url / no)
*Program size (in byte)
*runtime size (in byte) (includes matrices or similar things created by the program)
*A description (not too short!) (don't use phrases like "The best" or "a perfect" please stay objecttive! Winners of the UCF Contest
can include their ranking here!
*Images (appended / none)
*A cateqory (choose yourself)
*The projects url (url / none)

Please append the files you mentioned above. Please do zip all of them (only zip! not ace or rar!).
Please make a extra mail for each program to help me keep everything in order.
Please write UCF or CASIO or sth. similar in the subject so i can differ the mail from spam.

You'll receive a reply with the information I still need (if you gave to few) or with the
OK that everything is fine for each mail!

Here is an example for such a mail:

Name: <{GNULINUX}> 3.0
Copyright: (C) 2003-2004 huhn_m (Marcus Hohnel)
Type: ASM
Models: AFX / FX (all ROMS)
State: Aplha
Sources: Appended
Program size: 3044 Bytes
Runtime size: 3044 Bytes
Description: (I'll not write this here. you know what to write!)
Images: appended
Category: Applications/Systems

And appended: <{GNULINUX}>.zip / <{GNULINUX}>_src.zip / <{GNULINUX}>_img.zip

or

Name: Snake 2.1
Copyright; (C) 2002 Marcus Hohnel
Type: Basic
Models: AFX / CFX / FX
State: final
Sources: files is basic -> not needed
Program size: 30124 bytes
Runtime size: 40155 bytes
Description: A snake game that supports various levels and includes a lavel editor specially designed for this. The program is quite fast
and runs in text mode. YOu can save/load/create maps or play the traditional snake game with an empty map.
Images: none
Category: GAMES/Snake Clones
Website: none

And appended: snake.zip

please folow theese rules.

2) I need 2 voulunteers who do after the time of 2 weeks find all programs that have not been sent in.
They should send me the information mentioned above and send the files to me.

I'll ask the authors of the programs for permission to publish these on the CD-Image that will be available only.

Please post below if you want to help!

3) Killer, we need some musik as a background for the program. I like your song "folow me" from your webpage.
Did you compose that yourself? Could you give me a version without singing or some other instrumental song in
mp3 format that we could use as background song.

4) Could someone ask thoose who developed flash100 or FlashCom if they can write a dll that I could use to upload / download
programs directly to the cd. I would include desired notes / comments for them dureing the transfer!

Please asnwere as soon as possible and make this a great project.

Please use the folowing e-mai adresses:

huhnm(insert at here)earthforge.com
huhn1m(insert at here)compuserve.de

in this order! Please only use the second & third if the first is full!

Good Idea, I will recompile and send my programs about 15.2.2004 (soonest free time).
One suggestion:
Try to automatize your work as much as it is possible because sooner or later new programs will come after the image will be released.
And carefully design directory structure.
If you have some free time look at ticalc.org and hpcalc.org they probably released some goodies disks etc.
BTW there is still need for a File Sharing Area.
Roeoender.
---fast Roe's edit---
Soon I will look what I have on my HDD and try to create a list of important AFX programs (sinec the beginning I tried to download every unofficial AFX add-in).

@roeoender: good. then it will not be in the first release but anyways good to hear that you help!

The time for sending in is 2 weeks. Then please only send in programs that are newer than that date or
that are not included in the first CD that I hope will appear on the 7th of february.

@kingdom and all:

Please send in all games! Even if you think they are not worth publishing. others may have another opinion.
I'll make a ranking system that will work together with the online update.

The CD should be downloadable and I want to ask all cable producers if they would include this CD in their
packages (but they are only allowed to get ~1 Euro for it for the production costs. since all work is freeware
and it is forbidden to sell it). We discussed this already in the FDF. Please see the according thread.

Hi, it's been a long time here

I think this CD is a great idea, but what about the french community? I hope it isn't limited for UCF members...
If this CD also contains french games of others progs, and is intended to everyone that use an afx or graph100 calculator, if think it would be great to propose at least 2 languages (e.g. english+french) for the comments of each program... :)
Naturally it requires some translation work, and can take a little time to translate everything correctly... ;) But i think it would be useful for people who don't understand english very well for exemple!
If you wish i can try to translate some texts in french for this cd... i don't speak and write english pefectly (just look at my post :D ), but understand and translate is not a big problem.

Finally, (and if i can, ;) ) i would be happy to send you the demo version of Sonic, but you'll certainly have some little corrections to do in my comments if i must write it in english...

thats a great idea!

Please do also include in your mails if you want your mail adresse to be published and
what languages your application is in.

Of course this is NOT limited to UCN! Please tell everyone on the Graph100.com that they shall participate too.

The Graph100 is already mentioned in the intro.

If you could translate the descritpions into french this would be great.
The database admin tool is already done and i'll implement that the description is also in
French, German and Spanish! I'll do german on my own but need somone to do spanish! Any volunteer?

I'll inform you as soon as the database is finished and you'll get it and a admin tool to translate the texts.

The CD environment has also to be translated. I'll send you a list
of text and if you can could you translate it?

The environment is not yet finished so this will happen in about 1 week.

Where are the progs? I've received none yet!
I also still need 2 volunteers for basic/asm research after the 2 weeks have passed.

What about runtime sizes?
Are they all final versions?
Do you want your mail adresse to be published?

The only ones I got games from are killer and kingdom!
Where are the ones who want to help on researches?

Genesis: Kingdom suggested that you maybe would like to be one of the "software finders". Do you want?

Anyways I'll send the language files to the translators and will then publish a first version.
Due to the lack of programs I will not inform any cable producers since they won't sell a cd with 30 apps on it.

If you don't want this project tell it but don't say nothing!

The @ sign is called at, so that was the meaning, to add the @ sign where he said. :)

basicly, 'spiders' or 'bots' look through web pages, and look for email addresses. the recognise this format: ????@?????.???? therfor puting:

andy(at)somewhere.com

is a way of stopping bots getting your adress and putting it on a mailing list for somthing.

(at) = @
