I just played it... wow. that some nice graphics... :o

there are some problems though, is this a beta release? so far ive noticed that everytime you die the screen goes blank untill you hold <span class=EXE' /> while the death animation takes place. occasionally I die and explode forever (over and over and over). I can walk into bomb blasts without dying, but then i die spontaneously a bit later (sometimes). only 1 mode works (story).

this is an amazing game, but its got a few bugs to work out.

yeah this is a beta release ..

ooohhhhh I am sorry I forgot to delete the debug screen while dying :P
Excuse me again, I've uploaded a fixed version !(same link of course)

And that's normal that there's only the story mode which is active, remember, that's a beta release, but you're right, I should haved precised this in my first post!

well, thats one heck of a beta!

a suggestion: make the selection on the main menu a bit easyer to see.

btw: there are some odd numbers at the top too (mabey not in the fixed version).

I've uploaded a new version:

I have fixed the "die bug" when walking on bomb blasts, now everything seems to be ok!!

Check it out there, it's the 0.32 version:

looks great. :)
i had the "death bug" described above, except that i wasn't even near a bomb. weird..

EDIT: oh, does this beta have a quit-function? i can't seem to get out of the game. :)
EDITEDIT: at least it ends when i die. :) there are some clipping problems, sometimes the bombs don't kill me, sometimes they do it even diagonally. that's nasty. :( (or maybe it was another one of those monsters sneaking up on me because of the small screen..)

From what i noticed, You quit by [0] button.
And here are some bugs i found:
Bombs DO kill me sometimes even if i'm well behind their range, even diagonally.
Sometimes, when i plant a bomb i get stuck and can't move in any (or more often in one) directions. Then, even if i don't escape from the blast, it doesn't kill me. What is more interesting, i become completely immune to my bombs after such incident...
When i get the no clipping powerup, i can walk truough walls, but it works a bit TOO well - i can go outside the map too :)
When i get manual detonation powerup, the bomb sometimes doesn't detonate - then i can only turn off the game - i can't plant any more bombs...
And these animated skulls look great, but they can distract and look a bit odd too. I don't know if there are any other "bricks" in further levels, (i always got bug-blown up before i got as far as next level), but if there aren't it might be good idea to make some more of them.

Anyway, keep up the good work - it will be great when it's completed.
When find any other problems, i'll let You know...

yea I'm sorry about the bomb's bug ... 'gonna correct it soon !!
Now I am working on a maze generator to make the game funnier !!
Then I'll implement more interaction with lanscape. For example, at the 8th level, we will be 'able' to slide on the ice :D And maybe I'll make some bosses :P

About the manual explosion, you must press <span class=Shift' /> to make the bombs exploding ^^

I'm sorry too about the wall-pass power-up, I forgot to correct it ^^

Anyway, I'll purpose a beta soon, since the maze generator works quite good.

Maybe you wanna see more levels ? So you can download this old version: http://leneuronez.free.fr/sb2.lec

Then press <span class=ESC' /> to go to the next level ;)

ps: these are NOT the current levels, but anyway, they're quite the same :)

Casiomax, this is an excelent (not a strong enough word) game... bosses would be great, as well as levels that are not just square :)

some other ideas:
rolling/bouncing bombs
exploding blocks (when you bomb blast hits it it becomes a bomb and begins to explode)
line bombs (you can charge up, then up down an amount of bombs in a strait line)

Well, deimos pretty much told everthing I also found out. :) The death bug IS still there, happened a couple of times, combined with the diagonal bombs.

Another thing, not excactly a bug though. The screen is way too small. If I don't kill myself with the diagonal bombs, I get killed by monsters roaming vertically. It's just so hard to see them before it's too late. :profanity: So far i've gotten to the second level..

i was thinking an automatic look in the direction you're facing. that would be kind of dumb, but would save lives. now the game is just too frustrating. :)

btw, is there an item that lets you die without losing all your items? or was it some nasty bug again..

it's a game for afx.

EDIT: i have an idea about the random deaths. you die when you bomb the exit, right? and the exit is already placed when the level starts, even if you can't see it? could this be the problem? your bomb hits the invisible exit, and you die.

yeah... we have a bit to wait before we can do this quality game on the classpad (i think... depends on the quality of the SDK).

For the remote bomb powerup, i know hor to detonate ithe bomb, but the problem is that sometimes it doesn't work - calculator switches ro consrast set mode - like in run/mat or program mode.
For death bug - no, it is not connected with exit - i had it when exit was uncovered and the bomb was on the other side of screen...
And i also have some ideas:
->Spider bombs You could control and blow up remotely - of course for a limited time
->Inventory - some pwoerups could work permnently (like the flame-like bomb powerup, or remote detonator), but others, like p-bombs, spiderbombs and others could be limited, eg. when You get the powerup You receive 5 bombs. It would make the game more chelanging - now the 1 level bomb powerup (flame) doesn't have any sense - when You get the p-bomb You have bigger power
->More kinds of levels (bosses would be cool, as stated above) and bricks

Anyway, keep up the good work!

yeah I noticed that also. it was just an idea. :)

as for the new ideas, i'd vote for killing the bugs and adding the planned modes. (link game!) maybe a boss every now and then could work. the game is addictive enough as it is. :)
