it just took a long time to come out, weve been waiting for months. unlike with the AFX they are also releasing a SDK for us to make programs.

thats good because developing for it would take alot more effort than for the afx. since it runs an x86 compatible everyone already knew more or less what was going on, but still every little thing had to be reversed.

Hopefully their manager is worth it's code bloat, if not I'll have to get involved.
The Add-In Installer casio put out for AFX put me in business :)

hehe, lets hope they learned their lesson ;)
however, people have already managed to get programs to their classpad without the add-in installer or the SDK... so I forsee no problems in that area :D

the language will be C++

SDKs are usually not restricted to language..

just because the provided tools and headers are designed to interface with one language doesn't mean you can't use another :)

that would be like saying windows api programming is pascal (just because the kalling convention used in many api calls are pascal :P)

as long there is an porgram that generates code that a cpu can understand (even an virtual like in java) you can't say software is restricted to software (dev. lanuages are software!) software is only restricted to/by hardware. (Try to run an x86 program (any os) on an alpha machine or an apple risc-processor.

And the only code that is interesting is the binary code that runs on the processor. All the stuff around this code is extra data for the os. (Like the Win32 PE-Executable Format)

so if someone want to use an programming lanuage that is not supported through to developers of the sdk. he (only) needs to write his own libraries, dlls (or what else is needed)
