The speaker does many things. It can play simply melodies, beep, we can change frequency and duration of beep sound. (I suppose that this one is as same as on PV.) :) It has been used for games (with sound), also for PV has been developed great 3D shooting game with sound.

I think we can access it by same functions as on PV...

If CASIO take out these functions from CP OS, we can recompile them from PV OS. :D They won't take your hardware!

They way you say this Daniel its like the sound() and nosound() in C. It would be so cool make a program or game in ASM, and play a song using interrputions. Hope casio will not remove that speaker, and we can learn how to use it :).

We should create C version stdlib with "return" possibilites and we can include some sound functions in it. I can't wait to see SDK. :'(

casio sould add an option to the settings, that the user can active the sound. (maybe deactivated by default - so the user can decide if he wants sound or not) (sometimes it can be not so good that the calc beeps)

The sound can be helpful with long cals (beep at the finish of the calc) or errors (if one occurs it beeps or something like that)
The user should select an time which it does not beep (20 sec. or so) after this time the calc beeps (when enabled) if an error occurs or the calc is finished. :)

I've only gotten it to just beep. Is it really possible to change the frequency?

As I've written: I suppose that CP speaker is same as in PV. And for PV exists many progs with sound. There aren't functions to chage some parameters direct in PV OS but we can use additional functions developed specialy for this purpose. This functions exist for PV. We will be able to import them after CASIO release CP SDK (propably earlier).

(For all people: PV = Pocket Viewer, you can find many information about it here: PocketViewer.de)

Man from FAST (CASIO Czech Republic) told me that PV is most probably discontinued. I think ClassPad is "next generation of PV". CASIO put together calculator (improved CAS) and hardware and software technology of PV.

Why CASIO won't support CP Speaker?
If we try find CP boot up process, we can develop own OS with own unique features.
If CASIO won't remove its functions, why put it in CP?
Sometimes CASIO make me

From http://classpad.net/...ddin/e_con.html

You can graph the data of the sampled sounds and output through the built-in speaker.

I don't think they will remove it if they have progs like this one :D

Hi.
Is it the built-in speaker of EA200 or ClassPad 300?

In the e-con program manual they wrote:"..the sound of the waveform of a function input on the ClassPad is output from the EA-200?s speaker.."
So, it`s not the classpad`s speaker.
