I know its been a while, I thought I'd post on this so that everyone would know its not dead...

heres whats been happening:

A while back I joined a programming group called Drubu productions, it was mostly Ti programmers but I was going to start off a casio faction... well, a few days ago Drubu imploded, the group is totally gone because some of the members just couldnt get allong :( (personally i thought the problems were getting better but...)

Anyway, while I was there I developed lydonia extensively, im happy to state that the main engine is 99% compleat and the battle engine is +90% compleat. the story is also well underway but not implemented in the game yet. Im very close to needing a few beta testers to try out the basic workings of the game (mostly the battle engine)

I estemate that there will be over 150 attacks, spells, and effects when the game is compleat, along with, about 50 weapons, ~15 classes, ~10 optional party members, at least 3 general ways to turn the story, +30 side quests, and invoations never before seen in gaming (not calc gaming, gaming)... im also hoping for a play time to rival most modern RPG's

for a size estemate consider that there are currently 115 variables in my CP's Lydonia folder 8O (the original Demo had 48)

I dont want to give away more than generalistics right now, but I do want to start taking applications for beta-testers, at least one person would need to test it on the CP manager since I want it to be compatible with both.

once I have a few testers I hope to create (with the approval of the other admin) a sub-forum visible only to the testers where I can confer with them. If you wish to be a tester please state so below.

BTW: my internet connection is iffy this week, so i'll be on whenever I can but there is a chance I wont be back till next week. :(

BTW2: I know some of you have been seeing me talk about this for a long time without actually seeing it, but Ive never been this close before and I forsee no problems with my plans... the engine is so dynamic that I can litterally re-write every single attack and have no ill-effects. this project has been open source from the beginning and will remain so till the end (except for the story) so everyone will be able to see what I did if they want to ;)

ok, I have added nanard and Overlord as beta testers, you will both be able to view the testing forum. (if you cant tell me, cause that would mean i screwed up ;) )

bob, if you want you could get your hands on qwerty's CP manager and do the manager testing.

heres a picture from the game, its what will show up when you talk to a merchant:

I checked and Crimson hasn't made a group for the beta-testers yet, probably he's waiting for something.
I won't make it myself because it's his game and decision.

---EDIT---
I suddenly re-read the above Crimson post and he said he added you, now I can say he forgot. :lol2:
I'm adding you right now: Overlord, nanard, mkanter.
Anyone missing?

---EDIT 2---
Actually Crimson didn't forget, he added you as a sort of moderators to the testing forum, but he forgot that it's hidden from you. :)
Ok, you 3 should all be able to read and post their. Correct?

ok, either or both of you is fine :)
I know for sure that it will be to fast on the manager, so part of the job will be to strategicallly insert delays to make it readable, then I can package a manager version with the main game.
