 Classpad was the best mathematic tools then ever. But still it has some minus point. Some user of classpad 300 complained that Classpad 300 has too dark, although we have set up the brightness. Operationally, Classpad 300 has the same as PDA/PV, but why there is no light to make it easier to operate just like PDA.

Hi!
I agree! At the beginning I was quite :profanity: with the LCD brightness, but now i've gotten used to it.
Probably the LCD has no backlight, because it would use up too much of the batteries.

You can also try changing the screen protector. The one which comes with the classpad makes the brightness even worse, as well as acting like a mirror! If you get a screen protector for PDA's the brightness will be much better.

[it will be hard to get a screen protector made especially for the classpad - not from casio that is. Just get a bigger one, any brand, not too cheap though ;) and cut it to fit.]

I complained about the brightness of the classpad before. After I installed a different screen protector, the brightness is just fine!

I've completely removed my protector because of the contrast problems.
I don't use my calculator that much though, so for those that use it all the time, you would probably want some form of protector over it to keep from scratching the screen.

i had the screen protector on mine for about a week then took it off. a few days later, i dropped it on the gravel driveway at my house, the cover popped off and my cp landed screen down in the gravel :o but it only put a couple small scratches in it

As I know classpad USB port is a client port. this means you can't use it as a voltage source!! It would be nice if I could connect my usb flash drive into my CP :)

Unfortunately, there are only few PALMTOPS who have USB SERVER port. So this is not strange. However, the ClassPad has to be the first of its kind, yes? See you!
