Nah, I don't have any interest in gaming at the moment.
And, for the record, I wasn't worrying about losing -_-

I think that I'd like to toss my hat into the race but could I see some rules or guidelines for the contest?

@ admins, please add Freakazoid to the comp (CFX BASIC Category list) as he said he wanted to join in the other competition topic.
also, i suggest removing Gemini_5 from the list, as he's not participating.
and add octobclrnts to the CFX BASIC category while your at it too, as he seems to one to join.

you know you dont get to keep it if you dont win right?

You shouldn't have told me that, now if I want to abuse my Super Member Status, I have to do it before the comp! :D Don't I get to keep it for a whole year?

You know, just one?

365 days?

ONE year?

Not a leap year, just a normal one?

*The message could not be recieved* Ohhh... :(

@Gemini_5: You should think about a math tetris or something like that...

All these years, and I still don't get... well... never even dared to look at the code in Tetris. How do people manage to make it from scratch? I still think the animated characters in Medawar was the greatest step in 'text mode' programming history... they blink, and speak, and are so easy to make... hehe... wow...

frogger?

 I made Frogger once...

I think that I'd like to toss my hat into the race but could I see some rules or guidelines for the contest?

You can only start creating the game after the competition has begun.

Detail:

Competition takes place by the first of July.
Time for ASM/C games: 5 months (ends by the 1st of December).
Time for ASM/C programs: 4 months (ends by the 1st of November).
Time for BASIC games: 4 months (ends by the 1st of November).
BASIC results will be out ASAP (at least we'll try  ), mind you, ONLY results.
The final awards will only be given by the end of the competition.
Results should be announced by the end of the year.
An announcement will take place before the 1st of July by about a week giving out the conditions & terms of the competition, and taking the names of the competitors.
Judging will take place like last year.
Users will be given the top three winners of each category (mind they will be graded by judges, because they're given points) to choose the best.

you CAN make tetris but you'll probably don't get any points for originality.

YOu also won't win the contest (unless you are the only one to send the program in)

it will make it easier for newbies to find the topic.
also, can someone please post the complete list of rules for the competition as there are some new participants this year.
thx:)

Someone said no RPGs so I'm taking it seriously...

OK, I've officially decided to make a game and well... I'll worry about uploading it when I've finished! Just want to check if it's valid though, it's titled Sprite 2 (although it has nothing to do with the first, I haven't started yet) and is comprised of two games where what you do in one affects the other... is that OK? It features fast gameplay and zero loading time (it's in text mode, but the graphics are quite nice).

I'm adding the program Triangle Solver to my website (haven't updated in over a month!)
