i would like an actual book copy of the cp manual (i don't like to carry my desktop computer around with me), but there probably isn't one, is there?

if my ribbon ran out, i would probably get one off the internet for $1.50
and i have about several miles of paper
Edit:
Actually $2.04 for a black ribbon

Electronic manuals are a fact of today, unfortunately.
I'm lucky enough to have access to a large printer with duplex capability. But the printed manual offers no real advantage over your desktop computer. It's nearly as big and heavy.
