I often give lectures on mathematical topics in front of a audience using most different types of calculators (casio, ti, hp ...). Because I am using a computerpresentation, it's not interesting to use vieuwscreens for the different types of calculators. I rather like to display virtual calculators on my computerscreen and use those simultaneously. It's easier for me than connecting and deconnecting calculators with viewscreens continuously. I've allready found this software for ti-calculators. Can someone help me finding a casio-simulator thad looks like a graph 65, a graph 35+ of a graph 100?

thats an ASM/c emulator! only shows the screen, and cant to basic files or anything. There is a french emulator on casioworld that is very easy to use, but again only shows the screen. there is also a basic emulator in CasioCOM, but it is prone to crashing, but on the plus side it shows the entire calc.

and of course there's the classpad emulator... but you may want to buy the full version.

Thanks for the advice but it did not help me further. I tried CasioCom: the program changed the resolution of my computer, multipicated the numbers 3 and 4 correctly and then crashed. Next attempts did not succeed either. :( Then I tried WinG100. Indeed, it does not display a real calculator with a display. I'm not convinced to use these emulators for the didactical illustration of my lectures.

Although I'm convinced of the superiorityof the casio calculators, I think this is a little imperfection. The emulators of Texas-Instruments are more stable and are better elaborated.

thats because they are made buy Ti, whereas the Casio emulators are made by people that vist these forums ;) (except the CP emulator).

Yea, Casio really needs to step it up and help us out. TI has many programmers who are constantly upgrading and adding useful apps for the calc. I think Casio would become more popular and more useful if they implemented something similar.

This is not entirely accurate. While TI's FLASH SDK does conatin an emulator, next to no one uses it. It is only built in for testing FLASH Apps. About 99% of all TI users use VTI, which was made by Rusty Wagner who doesn't work for TI. The emulator in the TI SDK is slow and buggy. It doesn't support gray scale for one thing and it is built into the actual TI FLASH Studio compiler program. VTI emulates the entire calculator extremly well. It has full screen support as well as being able to show the body of the calculator. Unless you are programming FLASH Apps (which are not very popular compared to asm programs) you should go with VTI.

if casio would make an emulator as good as the cp300 one (for free :)) no matter what model i think it would be welcom into the casio community (but AFX would def. be the best)

happier customers... right... so consider this: we on this forum (and the other forums) constitue mabey 5% of the total users of casio calculator users, and we would be the only ones using that emulator. And, casio sells lots more than just calculators, so in total we make up a fraction of the percentage of the people that use their products. so, they would be making a free product that would cost a good deal of money to make, and then only a tiny group of people would use it.

not gona happen.

the only reason we have the Classpad emulator is because it was made first, before the actuall classpad, as a demonstration of what the classpad would be (all this for the benifit of Casio officials), then somebody had the idea to release it as the CP manager and charge money for it. since it already existed they simply made back some of the R&D cost. (thats more or less a quote from casio)

its a formula for determining when the classpad SDK will be out, im not sure if i got it compleatly right but it conveys the idea ;)
