HI
im kinda of newbie here

i believe most of us have had the touch screen protector problem
(good protection, but lousy visibility).
so ill ask a simple question, i hope some of you can help me
is there any commercial replacement for the one that comes with the classpad
or any protector that can be adapted (e.g. palm)
if not, what can be done to solve this ( :banghead: )?

Hi.
Yes there is commercial replacement for ClassPad, but in US. You can also use the protector of PDA... and some people said it was much better than CP's.
Happy new year.

In France, we just have to send an eMail to Casio, and they send us a free stylus and screen protector... But I don't know Casio eMail address in US... :(

There is some support information at the Casio's World site.

I saw on this forum time ago that some pda's protectors fit, or can be resized to fit ok.

i believe most of us have had the touch screen protector problem (good protection, but lousy visibility).

If visibility is your problem, you can use the ClassPad without the protector. As long as you only use the stylus that came with the ClassPad and you don't plan on taking it rock climbing it should be OK. I took mine off a long time ago and I've never had a problem.

We have a few dozen ClassPads where I work, and everyone has taken the screen protector off. :) There is one ClassPad that does have a small scratch on the screen, but the guy who uses it is pretty rough on it. I think he carried in his jacket without the plastic cover and his car keys scratched it. :o His ClassPad still works fine though.

NOTE: If visibility is your problem getting a replacement screen protector from Casio probably won't help. You'll probably get the exact same type of protector.

ok, i have read that the classpad protector is not very good (even when its new), so
Do you think that the pda protector would improve visibility (while maintaining decent protection)?

Hi!
I thought that my screen protector is full of scratches , but one time I took it and washed it, And then I saw that not only many of the small "scratches" (I realized that they were only dirt) had gone, but now I had a much brighter screen. B) Any of you have the same xp?

ive never tried washing it, but sometimes cleaning it does help a little,
but after a while it returns to its former state (dirty) :roflol:

I noticed that a company on eBay is selling screen protectors for the ClassPad. I don't know how good they are. Do a search on eBay for "DuraSec ClassPad" and you should find them.

I've been using palmOne screen protectors for some time now. You need to cut them to the size of the classpad and getting them on without air bubbles isn't easy.

Once it's on however, the quality is great and I have had no problems with brightness. The protector does get scratched a bit, but I only need to change mine every 6 months or so.

Why worry at all about a screen protector. I think they are a waste of time and tried them on the PDA's I owned and all degrade your screens brightness and contrast to verious degrees.

PDA's don't come with screen protectors and work well, so why has Casio put one on? I suggest take it off and never bother with them. A waste of time and money, espeically if the screen is not bright in the first place.
